I was invited, for the second year in a row, to the panel of judges for the Solar Power Portal awards. This prestigious honour culminated in the awards dinner at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham on the 17th October.
I was lucky enough to be sat at the dinner table with the TV personality and architect George Clarke where we mused over the poor state of housebuilding and design in the UK. I then presented the award for Product Innovation to Bob Mills of LG Solar for their new generation of high efficiency solar PV modules incorporating “Cello” technology.
Hoping to be invited to judge next year as well to make my hat-trick!
